Peer Feedback
An assignment with our school program was to ask for peer feedback through the Slack messenger app. I sent out my prototype on Figma, and left the notes option open. I received wonderful feedback, and made changes, which you will see below.

Update #1

Feedback- “This card feels a little busy on the times, lows/highs. It might feel less busy if the card was expanded and the text was spaced out a little further.”

Changes- I actually decided to move the sunrise/sunset times into a different card, because it wasn’t part of the tide information and could cause further confusion. I spaced out the tide information differently to create some space.

Update #2

Feedback- “I would like it if there were text under the icons to indicate what they are for. I understand most except this one.”
“Navigation/accessibility suggestion: Writing the names of the icon/page on the navigation bar helps announce the page name for users who use screen readers. Spotify's mobile app is my inspiration!”

Changes- I’ve been considering making this change for a while, but I didn’t know if it was necessary since I include the icons in the onboarding. But since I got a couple comments about it, I decided to make the change. I had to make the icons a bit smaller to make everything fit properly, but I like how it turned out.

Update #3

Feedback- “Once I am in this map view, I have no way of getting back to the search result for Lahaina. I had to use the back arrow to get back to your other screens.”

Changes- I didn’t realize there wasn’t a way back to the other page, so I added a back arrow here. I also have the updated dashboard in the updated display, but that was a separate update.
